There are new applications and requirements that are specific to the digital tests. You'll need to be familiar with these in order to prepare for test day.
Introducing Bluebook and Test Day Toolkit
Bluebook™ and Test Day Toolkit work together to make digital testing possible for the SAT, PSAT-related assessments, and AP Exams.
Bluebook is the app students use to take tests and must be installed on student devices before test day. Learn more about Bluebook device readiness and installation.
Coordinators and staff use Test Day Toolkit to administer tests. They can use any device that connects to the internet. They access Test Day Toolkit with a College Board professional account. Learn more about Test Day Toolkit.
Accommodations on Digital Tests
All requests for accommodations and supports are still managed through SSD Online. However some accommodations are administered differently on digital tests than on paper and pencil tests. For example, if you're approved to use a human reader on paper and pencil tests, you may get a screen reader for digital tests. Also, some accommodations may not be needed for a digital test. For example, if you're approved for large print, you may use the zoom tool that's available to all test takers. More details are found under Registering with Accommodations.
SSOR and MAT
The SAT Suite Ordering and Registration (SSOR) system enables authorized users to manage ordering and registration for the SAT Suite of Assessments. Access to SSOR is handled by your access manager using the Managing Access Tool. You'll learn more about this under Role Setup Using the Managing Access Tool.
Preparing Your Technology
Test coordinators will work with school or district technology staff to prepare the network and testing devices for test day. An internet connection is required at the start and end of the test, but students can keep testing if their connection drops momentarily.
A new requirement for digital testing is the help room. If technical issues happen on test day, staff will direct students to the technology monitor in the help room.
